Maison et Objet, Paris, France, 22 January, 2010. sonoro audio, German designer and engineer brings cubo 2010, a fresh new version of its popular luxury CD/MP3 player alarm clock radio to design and audio enthusiasts in France. This stylish compact audio solution has been enhanced to enable iPod, iTouch and iPhone owners to connect and charge their devices and listen to their music libraries, podcasts, news and entertainment with robust superior sound quality.

cubo 2010 is encased in a wood, curved-corner housing that not only gives it a distinctive sleek shape but also enriches the audio output.  Each casing is hand polished to a fine piano finish or hand wrapped in natural real wood veneer. The new cubo 2010 high gloss lacquered finishes are in sonoro red, black, white and silver colours and now include eye-catching fuchsia pink, jungle green and lemon yellow.  The natural wood finishes come in rich dark oak and environmentally-friendly bamboo.  cubo 2010, with its extensive colour range, is a chic accessory that accentuates interiors in a bold way or blends seamlessly in a classic setting.

cubo 2010 users can manipulate its functions as well as the iPod menu from another room and at a distance with a special RF remote control.  RF is the industry’s top of the line radio frequency technology imbedded in this easy-to-use device.  The sonoro eDock, an auxiliary docking station is compatible with all 30 pin iPod models, including the iPod touch 3G iPhone 3GS.It has a simple disc shape with a brushed metal ring and comes in silver, white and black.

 

cubo 2010’s rich features include a slot-in CD function, which smoothly glides a CD into the device and plays it automatically making it very easy to operate.  A top quality FM tuner picks up numerous stations bringing them in strong and clear.  sonoro’s upward-facing speaker blends the right and left channels and adds bass reflex for rich robust sound.  Users can adjust treble and bass to balance both to their preference.  The dual alarm-clock with its sleep and snooze function enables a couple to set two different times, and wake to a track on CD, a favourite radio station or beep signal at their preferred volume level.

 

cubo 2010 is equipped with an amber DOT matrix display providing clear readout.  Station names and MP3 CDs titles are shown as well as the artists’ information (ID3 TAGs). It can become an integral part of any home or office by connecting it to a stereo system or hooking up a headphone to listen to music in private.

 

When paired with eDock, the cubo 2010 package becomes an all-in-one complete audio solution appealing to both design enthusiasts and tech-savvy individuals.cubo 2010 has a suggested retail price of 369€ and the eDock for 69€.
