Köln, Germany, 4 September, 2009 – sonoro audio, German designer and engineer of distinctive, high-quality audio products, announced today its ‘elements W’ Internet radio with media streaming, in addition to FM tuning. elements W connects music lovers to thousands of worldwide Internet stations via Wi-Fi or a standard LAN cable and updates stations everyday with new and exciting selections. It can also access and play music libraries directly from a computer, such as those loaded into iTunes. With the purchase of the matching sonoro eDock, elements W can also play and recharge iPods.
Created for listeners desiring immediate access to music from around the globe, elements W enables users to find their favorite tunes by genre, geography or call letters. Audiophiles can discover new artists, ensuring they are able to create their ideal mix of cultural, urban, classic or popular songs. Individuals can also select music by an intersection of style and location, such as Paris jazz, New York hip-hop London electronica or Vienna classical.
A special Website, mysonoro.com, gives owners of elements W a universal entry point to search for new stations and program their radio from anywhere as well as add other features ‘real-time’ such as favorites lists and podcasts. They can also stream third-party music vendors partnered with sonoro such as Pandora and Aupeo.
Music lovers can program up to ten favorite pre-set stations on their device and select a music menu featuring hundreds more stations via the online access portal. These would include many AM, HD Multi-cast and DAB stations. The FM component enables the radio to be used when an internet connection is unavailable. MP3 players can also be connected with the 3.5 mm cable included with each product.
elements W’s list of impressive design features include the industry’s easiest-to-use interface and the highest standard OLED display, which provides a crisp, clear readout. A unique LED illuminated metal ring enables users to adjust volume and tuning and the top-quality reception and sound rivals some of the best systems in the industry. A handcrafted curved-corner all wood housing in high gloss black or white lacquered finish encases a full-range, upward-facing speaker that blends right and left channel audio and bass reflex tube to produce robust optimal sound.
The radio is equipped with a top of the line RF (Radio Frequency) remote enabling listeners to navigate their way through the myriad of radio stations and scan through their iPod® playlist at a distance. It has also been outfitted with an FM antenna, digital alarm clock complete with sleep and snooze functions.
