sonoro - The company

Blending form, color, texture and sound to bring harmony to any lifestyle
Founded in Germany in 2005, sonoro audio set out to redefine the audio world. The goal – to replace drab, plastic radios and desktop devices that resemble household appliances with high style, high quality compact audio solutions.
In 2006, sonoro launches
cubo, its first born desktop CD/MP3 player, radio alarm clock, bringing style to the audio world. This exciting, attention-getting cubo in seven rich colors and three natural wood veneers amazed listeners with its clear robust sound coming from such a compact device. Like wildfire, the product spreads to 27 countries and sold in exclusive department stores such as Harrod’s of London, Selfridges, Saks Fifth Avenue, New York, KaDeWe, Berlin, and in quality retailers around the world.
The cubo family is expanded each year with a Limited Edition version in the year’s trendy color. The new cubo is given its own name and produced in only 2000+ pieces for worldwide distribution (the actual quantity based on the year it is launched). It comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity and sets out to be collectors’ item. In 2007, sonoro launched ice.cubo in fresh turquoise, 2008 cubo.soleil in bright yellow and 2009 cubo.mystique in deep purple.
In 2007, sonoro expands its product family with elements
a whole new look in compact audio solutions. On the consumer electronic world stage at the IFA trade show in Berlin and at CES in Las Vegas, sonoro introduces its sexy and sleek elements family consisting of elements, eklipse and elements W.
These minimalist alarm clock radios, CD/MP3 players and iPod charging docks are made for the iPod generation and are characterized by the sonoro classic curved-corner all wood housings in hand polished lacquered finish, an acrylic front panel and a LED illuminated brushed metal navigation ring. Again, the world sits up and takes notice.
